My boyfriend was visiting yesterday so I was lucky enough to spend yesterday with him. We met my mom for lunch in a little neighboring village and the restaurant we ate at was in the old post office! The whole town was so charming. We spent the afternoon thrifting and exploring antique shops before grabbing some raspberry gelato and driving around admiring all of the beautiful old houses. This outfit felt perfect for all of the adventuring that took place :)

A very happy monday.

After a week of crazy shifts at work, including a wedding that went until all hours of the night (!) it's time for me to spend a couple of days with my own dapper man :) I will report back when I have grown tired of the boy (I kid).

Yesterday evening I returned home from a couple of days at my boyfriend's house. My trip was full of the expected snuggles and kisses but also some unexpected adventures with his family. Our day with his parents even included tea and scones at the Milner Gardens Estate (Lady Diana and Prince William have been there!) as well as a gorgeous walk on the beach and sneaking peaks into the beautiful homes on the water. It was such a fabulous trip and as usual I was feeling sad when I returned home last night. Thankfully, my sister had a surprise for me. She had bought me this beautiful dress on her own weekend getaway! It flows perfectly and the color is divine :)

Sometimes I worry that I have become too entrenched in my own habits, including stripes, coral and denim! But then I don an outfit that includes all of the above and I am reminded of why these are staples in so many of our wardrobes. They're easily transformable, chic and make you feel like a little French girl.

After working for the last week I am off to my boyfriend's house for a couple days of snuggles, kisses, yummy food and adventures with his puppy. I hope that you all had a splendid weekend! What did you get up to? Fun dates? Weekend getaways? Lunches? Do tell!

Friday Fancies.

Hello all! It's been a couple weeks since I did a Friday Fancies post, but here we are! Since I've been working lots lately, I can't help but spend my shifts imagining all of the pretty things I want to buy with my hard-earned cash. Some items that are threatening to empty my wallet this week include:

1. Since I have been wanting a classic trench coat for a while now, it seems only natural for me to also lust over a short sleeved version.
2. Feminine, cat-eye sunglasses would look tres chic while I'm driving around town in my new VW convertible.
3. Such a gorgeous, springy color and the shape is a great mix between fun and demure.
4. The only item of jewelry in the outfit needs to be equal parts attention seeking and shyly sweet.
5. Classic bag in a not-so-classic hue. Powder blue makes your standard tote brand new and extremely fresh for spring/summer.
6. Nice, simple flats to keep my tootsies happy and stylin'.

My boyfriend was visiting for the past couple days so I've been off the radar, so to speak. Lots of snuggles, kisses, cooking and adventuring ensued. It was a great time and even though he left this morning, I still have that lovely warm, fuzzy feeling going on in my belly. I wore this outfit out for lunch with my sister as a way of easing the sting of his departure. Something about skirts and heels always makes me feel better :)

The other day was a big one! I held my best friend's hand while she got her first tattoo, I bought a new car and I got a phone call from a company I'd been applying at for a summer job! The day was full of ups (adorable new car, mini road trip & some shopping) and downs (last minute rescheduling, $60 oil change bill & dropping Katie off in another town) but all in all it was a very happy and productive day :)

With the weather warming up and the sun peaking out, I have been daydreaming of days spent running errands around the city, riding to the park for picnics and simply exploring the windy streets on no more than two wheels. Ever since I saw the Kate Spade & Adeline Adeline bike I have been lusting hardcore. Not only is the kelly green beyond stunning, the simple lines of the bike are to die for. I wouldn't mind dressing in this outfit for my rides either. :)
