Lately I have been thinking about how I spend time each day telling you lovely ladies about my life and the things I love, but we don't get too many opportunities to share with each other and learn more about one another's lives. I thought that we could have a virtual tea party today and make some new friends!! I recently installed Disqus commenting system, so we are able to reply to each other's comments, and actually have a nice little conversation. So, who's in?
Here are some questions that we can get started with!
1/ What did you order for our coffee shop date? Tea? Coffee? A specialty drink?
2/ Where did you grow up? Have you ventured far away from home?
3/ What is your dream job? Do you have it now or are you still working towards it?
4/ Stripes or polka dots?
6/ What does your ideal Saturday morning exist of?
I can't wait to hear your answers!! Mine are below :)
1/ Earl grey tea with soy milk and way too much sugar.
2/ A small island off the west coast of Canada. I have crossed the straight and moved
to Vancouver, BC. So I'm about 6 hours away from home.
3/ Freelance graphic designer & fashion journalist, and while I don't have the job now,
I am making some strides towards it!
4/ I could never decide. Ha!
5/ Iceland!
6/ Tea, a movie, and blogs, all while still snuggled in bed.

Hey Kendra, great idea! Here are my responses:
ReplyDelete1) Peppermint Tea from teapigs
2) I grew up in the South East of England and now live in Cambridge, about an hour from home
3) My dream job is to be a freelance crafter/designer/maker
4) Polka dots all the way
5) I've always wanted to travel to India
6) Cookery shows, PJs and toasted bagels or cake
:-)
This is such a great idea! :) I'm a biiiiig tea and tea parties lover.
ReplyDelete1. I ordered green tea (I usually drink green / white / rooibos) with the flavour of Japanese cherry.
2. I grew up in a small, romantic town in Novo mesto, Slovenia (well actually a few kilometers out of Novo mesto, in the countryside), now I live one hour away from Novo mesto - in Slovene capital, Ljubljana, because of my studies and boyfriend. But I usually return every weekend to Novo mesto, because I really like to change the environment a bit. Luckily, Slovenia's so small, that nothing's really far. :)
3. Hmmm. Probably something to do with diplomacy (I study International relations) or blogging (this year I started studying Journalism too) - I'm falling in love with blogging in photography lately and I love the freedom that it gives to you.
4. Stripes!
5. Provence (been there twice, but want to return), Middle East (when it's calmer), Indonesia, New Zealand,....
6. Tea, TV series, blog, under a blanket, while it's foggy and rainy outside.
By the way, the photo is really nice!

This is adorable!
ReplyDelete1. I ordered a hazelnut coffee with cream and two sugars. My favorite.
2. I grew up in a small town in upstate NY. Well, I suppose I'm still growing up, really, as I'm only sixteen. In my ideal world, though, I'll be going to college in NYC and studying abroad in Paris!
3. My dream job has something to do with writing, fashion, French, and graphic art--all things for which I have great passion. I would LOVE to be a writer for some fashion magazine or website in France once I've mastered the French language--it's a huge goal of mine. I'm going to do everything I can to reach that place!
4. Stripes. So classic, and they can be styled a multitude of ways...but then again, so can polka dots!
5. Paris, France...or maybe even Rome, Italy. I've got a love affair with classic European countries, haha.
6. Checking up on my favorite blogs, going out to a local bagel shop to pick up some bagels and coffee, and then heading to the book store for some new reads. :)
Gorgeous idea, and quite personal too.
ReplyDelete1/ Soy Chai Latte. Yummy!
2/ I gew up in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. I then moved to South Australia, then Victoria, and now my fella and I live in Western Australia. You can say I've strayed a bit! I'm happiest where we are now though in a coastal town on the South West coast.
3/ My dream job is to be a historian. I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Historical Inquiry & Practice at university so I'm on my way! In these modern times, so many people are doing more than one thing with their life, so I'd love to also own my own vintage boutique stocking my own designs and stunning one-off treasures.
4/ Polka dots. Some would say I'm a bit dotty myself :-)
5/ I'd love to go to Turkey. I'm planning a trip for the 100 year anniversary of the first landing by the ANZACs.
6/ Saturday mornings usually consist of quiet time, just me and my dog. My fella sleeps in alot longer than me so I make the most of the time catching up on my fave blogs, scouring eBay for some unique find and generally just hanging out. Late in the morning we usually head out for an adventure day trip.
