"Penelope Lane Clothing started from pure frustration. Having my son (Mr. Man) changed the way my clothing fit. I found myself 'window shopping' online a lot, but I absolutely could not afford to shop for myself. It drove my desire to create an affordable clothing store. I approached my husband with my idea and a small budget. He graciously agreed. I started working on the store the first week of April. We launched officially on June the 2nd. My goal is to provide for my family while doing something that I absolutely love. I want this store to provide for other as well, and I don't only mean monetarily. I hope to start outreach to local schools this Fall and offer self esteem workshops. I also hope to open a local shop where I can provide a few more jobs to my area. My biggest goal is a vintage mini cooper in the driveway and a cute backyard office. I want my customers to know that I truly value their business. I have worked so hard to get where I am and I want the customer to know they are an important and vital part of the store. They are the part that keeps me going. That is why I send a small gift (it's usually a cheesy little something) and a hand written thank-you note with every purchase."
