I can't believe this is already the fourth tea party!! I've been having such a good time getting to know you ladies and letting you know some of the more random things about me. I hope that you are all enjoying them as much as I am! As usual, the questions are posted below, and my own answers are right after them!
1/ As per usual, what did you order for our tea party?
2/ Who is one woman that you would like to spend an afternoon with?
3/ If you could wave a magic wand, what is one piece of equipment that you would have to make your career dreams come true?
4/ What is one item of clothing in your closet that you would be lost without?
5/ If you could pick up and move anywhere for a year, where would you go?
My answers here!
1/ I ordered a camomile tea, because I've been drinking a lot of it lately and loving it.
2/ I'm sure I'm among like a gazillion other women for choosing this, but I'd spend an afternoon with Princess Kate. Mostly because she is the most sophisticated and stylish lady ever.
3/ I'm currently saving up for the Adobe Creative Suite, and if I could make it magically appear, that would be incredible.
4/ Kind of boring, but I'm pretty sure my Gap t-shirts have gotten the most wear out of everything in my closet. They can make pretty skirts feel fun and casual, and they make your favorite pair of jeans feel even more perfect.
5/ Lately I've been obsessed with California, so I'd have to say Los Angeles or San Francisco! It could have something to do with the fact that it's July 3rd and my city has had around 2 sunny days thus far...
I can't wait to hear your answers! If there are questions that you would like to see answered here, send me an email and I would love to include them!! Send any ideas to kendra@pieceofcakepeaceofmind.com

1. i ordered sweet tea with honey. i tried it the other day and fell in love!
ReplyDelete2. i'd spend the afternoon with my grandma gracie. she was so wise and kind.
3. a huge commercial coffee/espresso machine. (my dream is to own a coffee shop!)
4. cardigans. i love me some cardigans. they're so versatile.
5. wilmington, north carolina. i've always wanted to go there!
This is such a great idea - I'm enjoying reading everyone's responses each week. Here are my responses (I actually found them quite hard to answer this week!):
ReplyDelete1) I ordered a soy, decaf latte with sugar free vanilla today.
2) I think I would like to spend an afternoon with Elise of the blog A Beautiful Mess. I'd quiz her on how she balances everything!
3) The equipment I would love to have is a device to stop time for a little while. Of course this doesn't exist but sometimes I feel overwhelmed with to do lists and feel like I'll never progress with my business plans!
4) I couldn't live without my jewellery. Although technically not a closet item, I tend to dress in block colours and like to accessorise with different earrings and rings each day.
5) I would love to live in Canada! With the crappy weather we have been having in the UK lately a touch of sunshine in the summer and snowy winters seem ever appealing!

LOVE your Great Gatsby sweater! I'm rereading now!
ReplyDelete1.) I ordered an iced vanilla latte :)
ReplyDelete2.) I would also have to say I'd spend the day with Princess Kate! I'd love to go shopping with her!
3.) I've been wanting an apple green kitchenaid mixer FOREVER.. and I just need to take the plunge and get it!
4.) I would be completely lost without my blazers. I have so many and they are a staple in my wardrobe! I don't know what I'd do without them
5.) I would love to move to Spain or anywhere in Europe really.. but Spain has always been on my list! I can speak fluent Spanish too so I think I'd fit in quite nicely :)

1/ I decided to go with an herbal peppermint tea, nothing added. Yum!
ReplyDelete2/ My momma. We live across the country from one another (over 2,500 miles!) and I miss her to pieces. It would be SO lovely to spend time with her, since I only get to see her about 3-4x a year.
3/ Uh, a full bank account. My dream career is working for a non-profit called LiNK (linkglobal.org) so I wouldn't get paid a ton, but it would let me do my dream.
4/ I wouldn't be lost without it because I know where I can get more for a really reasonable price, but I love my fit & flare 3/4 length sleeve summer dresses from Forever 21. I have three.
5/ I would choose to move back to PA just for a year, until my parents go to China to become missionaries.
Thank you for throwing a lovely tea party today, my dear!
Blessings!
Love, Cara
Oh I love these!!
ReplyDelete1. A homemade iced tea, because I haven't had one in ages and you can't buy it easily in England - I suppose that means I should make some.
2. Does this lady have to be living? I would spend an afternoon with Elspeth Huxley and we would chat about her childhood in Africa - I just finished reading her book The Flame Trees of Thika she seemed like a pretty cool lady.
3. I would love the Adobe Creative Suite too, blogging without Photoshop is not easy. However, I would also love a RED One camera.
4. My topshop black skinny jeans - they're not even that nice but they are so easy to wear with almost anything.
5. I would move to Hong Kong, because I love it there.
1, I ordered a good old fashioned green tea. I've been trying to take advantage of all its health benefits. 2, I'd love to spend an afternoon with Olivia Wilde. She's a beautiful, smart actress/activist -- and she was married to a prince! 3, I'd love a shiny new iMac for writing, editing photos, and working on freelance ventures :) 4, I couldn't live without my trusty black leggings. They're versatile & go with just about everything. 5, I would LOVE to live in London!
ReplyDelete1. I ordered a nice glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
ReplyDelete2. I would love to spend an afternoon with Angela Merkel. It would be so neat to get to talk to such a powerful woman.
3. I would love to have an acceptance letter to the graduate accounting program I'm applying to.
4. Without my jeans I would never want to leave the house. I pretty much wear them everyday, even on hot and humid days like today.
5. I would move out to New England, in the US. It sounds so beautiful.
great questions this week :)
ReplyDelete1. green tea with fresh lemon - trying to get back into healthy mode
2. J K Rowling - I was obsessed with her books as a teenager. I love that her passion for writing has seen her become a global success.
3. A full on design course to show me how to get the best out of the Adobe Suite! I feel like I am missing out on so many parts. Every time I create something I find a new tool! If I could email over the suite over I would :(
4. In the summer denim shorts and in the winter, my black winter coat with gold buttons. I had saved for months to buy it and it has been the best investment in my wardrobe to date.
5. A month ago I did just that, moved from the UK to Canada. So far we have spent time in Montreal, Quebec City, New York, Niagara Falls and Toronto. Making our West across the country and having the best time. Looking forward to finding somewhere to settle in Canada now though and build a home.
lovely to meet you all

4) my black shift dress. can dress it up or down and is so comfortable
5) Edinburgh. Not sure I'd survive the winter though
