Tea Party // 7

I'm so thrilled that another Tuesday has rolled around, because it's time for another tea party! Your answers are always so thoughtful and fun to read, keep it up! And don't forget, we can all comment on each other's responses and really get a good chat going!

1/ As always, what are you ordering at our tea party?
2/ Who was your first celebrity crush? What made them so swoon-worthy for you? :)
3/ What is on your night-stand these days? Good books? Stylish magazines?
4/ If you could pick out one new piece of furniture for your home, what would it be? You can get super specific with this fantasy shopping if you'd like! Post a link to something you are lusting after!
5/ What is a skill that you are working on or that you'd love to learn? Have you ever considered taking a class on the subject?

My answers!

1/ This week I'm loving iced green tea with a shot of peach flavour! It's so refreshing, I'm going to start making it at home too, ha!
2/ When I was in middle school I was obsessed with Tom Welling from Smallville. The teen version of Clark Kent stole my 12 year old heart.
3/ I'm reading Emily's book right now! Cupcakes and Cashmere was one of the first blogs I read, and seeing her work in a book is crazy inspiring.
4/ I need to buy a few pieces of furniture for my apartment in the fall, including a desk! This is the one I'm eyeing at the moment, and I think it will make for a perfect mini office.
5/ Photography! Specifically, lighting! It really is an art and a science. I'm so admiring of talented photographers and I've been reading tons on the subject, hoping to improve my own understanding of this tricky work.

I can't wait to read your answers!!

  2. Great questions and answers as always Kendra!

    1. I would have a peppermint tea as I'm trying to limit caffeine
    2. After watching Titantic in my early teens, Leonardo DiCaprio sole my heart.
    3. My iPad is always by my side, even at night.
    4. I would love a old leather wing backed armchair like my Grandad's. It's such a classic piece that it would sit comfortably amongst modern pieces.
    5. I'd love to go on an Adobe Suite course and emerge a pro. For fun I'd like to take a course on interior design.

  3. First off, let me just say that this tea party idea is THE CUTEST thing. I love it. Now, onto my answers!

1/ Something iced. Maybe a cinnamon brown sugar iced latte! YUM!

2/ Uh, hands down JC from N*SYNC. Oh goodness, I believed I would marry him one day. (So glad I didn't!) But ya, definitely JC.

3/ On my night stand besides my Bible and journal is a book called Blue Like Jazz. Oh goodness, I'm sure you've heard of the movie but the book is SO intriguing and wonderful.

4/ Oh wow oh wow... a really super sturdy loft bed. We don't have a lot of room in our tiny apartment, but we do have really high ceilings so a loft would give us SO MUCH extra space. For a couch! We don't own a couch. Haha.

5/ Blog design and blog coding. HTML and CSS?! Yes please. I would DIE to know all of that business. I would love to take a class for four on that.

Also Kendra, here's the link for the planner I have from Target. The brand I have is Greenroom eco. Unfortunately, the exact one I got isn't on the site, but I got a large-sized planner so that blog organization would be simple. http://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=greenroom+eco&category=0|All|matchallpartial|all+categories

Here's their main website too, but for some reason it's still in 2011 time, http://www.greenroomeco.com/planners

    3. i've finished reading The Lost Girls again. i love it and will probably read it every summer. it kind of helps me live vicariously through someone else's travels.
    4. i now have all the furniture i really need, but i am in desperate need of decorations. pillows are high on my list.
    5. adobe creative suite. i have it, but i really need to learn more about it.

  5. Yay, another tea party!

    1. Today I'm going for a Cappucino. I need to wake up.
    2. I remember watching the original Three Muskateers as a kid and thinking Dartanian (no idea how to spell that?) was a bit of alright. I even had plans to name my future baby (if it was a boy) that name... Oh dear.
    3. I've got the Cupcakes and Cashmere book on my side table too!
    4. I really want a bench seat that I can do up myself. New crazy fabric and a coat of paint to make it my own.
    5. It's my birthday soon, so I've been saving up my penny's for a DSLR Camera. My brother got one recently and I'm so jealous - I love playing with it, and I really want to learn. I've been looking into lessons at the local community school. I just want to get started already!!

  10. I missed this yesterday, so I hope it is OK that I post my answers now!

    1) I am drinking camomile tea this week - trying to stay calm.
    2) I fancied Joseph Gordon Levitt and didn't think he looked bad in Inception either!
    3) My night stand has eye masks, lavender wheat pillow for my migraine heads and a nail file
    4) I would love to have a new craft table. Actually nothing extravagant, but an old wooden table I can repurpose would be perfect.
    5) Right now I'm taking classes in crochet and I'm addicted!

    Thanks for hosting Kendra.

  11. I am a committed coffee drinker but lately I am considering more tea and love high quality tea from a tea shop in my little town on the coast.
I am considering a living room re-do with an elegant area rug and new accents! I love the idea of getting a rug and then decorating around it.
I hope to learn rug hooking this fall. I am always obsessed by historic crafting.
My first celebrity crush was too long ago to say ...but when he sang, my 12 year old heart knew he was the one for me!

  12. 1// an earl grey for me please, and look, i made scones!
2// a boy called jeremy sumpter, i'm not sure if anyone would remember him, but he was in the peter pan movie, and i fell head over heels for his cute smile and curly golden hair, not the mention the fact that he could whisk me away to never never land.
3// as the new great gatsby movie is coming out in december, i decided to re-read the book, as well as habitus magazine my all-time favorite design mag, and a box of tissues to get me through my australian winter.
4// i would probably choose an eames chair, or something along that scandinavian style. OR a kitchen aide!
5// I am currently trying to improve my writing skills, as i'd love to get a job writing but there are very minimal jobs out there. so i created a blog, which has turned out to be more fun than i had realised.

This was fun! i'll be back next week ^-^

  13. I'm very late, but here are my answers!

    1. Chai tea latte, please! The weather here hasn't been great and I like chai on rainy days.
    2. Nick Carter. My walls were covered with Backstreet Boys posters. It wasn't pretty :)
    3. It's a mess: postcards, a hairbrush, my iphone, books, Dutch interior magazines, ...
    4. We've just moved into our new house. Things are starting to look like a home. I love my Confetti System garland! But before I start buying lots of new stuff, I think I need to live here for a while. Just to see how the house feels and what it needs. One exception: if my boyfriend would allow it, I'd buy this wallpaper in a heartbeat: http://www.ashleywhittakerdesign.com/folio4.html !
    5. I'm hoping BlogShop comes to Europe. I would love to be inspired like that!

    3. Right now I'm reading things from school.
    4. Since my bedside table is actually a chair it would be nice to get a real one along with a lamp, also a lot of shelves.
    5. I want to learn languages, and diving. So I hope to take classes someday.
