DIY // stamped business cards

Stamps, stickers, & spotted paper for my ALT business cards.

ALT Summit was last week and it was AMAZING. I'm already making plans for next year because I'm addicted to the experience I had there. It was an incredibly inspiring time and I learned so much. Business cards are such a big part of the summit, and I knew I wanted to create a unique DIY, and that I wanted to do stamping for them as well. I came up with this concept, designed the stamps & stickers, and then cut out the strips of polka dot paper. I highly recommend this project if you want business cards but aren't ready to invest in something like letterpress, but still want them to be unique and nicely branded for your business. I would definitely do this for a future client now!

I ordered 2 stamps—one with the blog's logo & one with my name and information.

... and then I stamped 180 of them :)

I also designed and ordered stickers from Moo to seal the polka dot belly bands.

They definitely took a while to put together, but they were fun and not too much of an investment. Plus, I now have 2 stamps to use for blog projects!

Have you ever made your own business cards? How did you come up with the concept for yours? Did you incorporate your favorite colours or patterns?

  6. Hi Kendra,

I have to start by saying, what a brilliant idea! I'm forever ordering business cards, but it would be so much easier just to be able to use a stamp to make some when I ran out!

It was a pleasure to virtually meet you this weekend at the Vancouver blogger meet-up. It's actually quite timely, and a bit funny, because when I was in Brussels I met another blogger, Jess from Belgium, who mentionned your blog to me in conversation - she's a big fan of yours and I was a bit embarrassed, as a Vancouver girl, that I didn't know you, so I'm very glad to have had an introduction now :) Looking forward to meeting you in person later this year!
