Last week was my birthday and I spent Friday & Saturday with my boyfriend playing tourist in our city. We had a beautiful hotel room downtown, sipped earl grey in their fancy tea room, and hung out in the hot tub. We also wandered around downtown and ate lots of delicious food. The best part of a staycation? Getting to eat at your usual places that you love so much!
For my "tourist" outfit I wore a comfy denim dress, Madewell NYC boroughs scarf and new birthday boots! They were on sale for $60 at Topshop last week (normally $130!) and were the very last pair so I'm pretty proud of myself, ha!
Have you ever played tourist? If not, you should definitely try it! It makes old things new again and makes your own city into an adventure :)

Playing tourist in my own city is one of my very favorite things to do! In fact, I plan on doing it this Monday since I will have the day off from work. It does make old things new again, and it gives you a renewed appreciation for where you live. I am glad you enjoyed your staycation! And, great find with the boots. I love them.
