Apartment Dreaming

Happy Monday, friends! Things are really starting to fall into place over here and big stuff is on the horizon. For starters, both the job and apartment hunts have been very successful! Today I am actually starting my brand new gig and I couldn't be more thrilled! I will be working from my current spot at the parents' place until Will and I move into our new apartment at the beginning of April.

Our soon to be new home is beautiful and I really can't believe I get to live there. Needless to say, my mind has been swimming with all sorts of home stuff. While I'm sure it will be a while before our place looks nicely settled in, I can't help but dream! Planning the big and little details of a space is definitely one of my favorite hobbies and I'm excited to stretch my decorator muscles.

Our bathroom boasts pretty white tile and so I've been inspired by light, airy additions like this hanging plant in the shower!

Sarah's (of Smitten Studio) new house is at the top of my inspiration list, and this whole set-up has me feeling a little faint. Most notable takeaways for my place will be the rug, plants, and modern decor accents.

For the bedroom I want to keep things nice and simple, but maybe a bit more feminine than in the main rooms. I love this little setup with the small nightstand, hanging light, and photo over the table.

A big, circular mirror is also topping my wish list!

One of my main goals with this move is to take things slow and do my best to be patient in the process. I have in the past wanted to get a space filled up quickly so I ran to Ikea and picked out a few things that I didn't love. This time around I really want to find pieces that I will keep for a long time, and that are special for both Will and I.

Yay for new seasons of life!
